Praveen Amre, who guided Mumbai to their 38th Ranji Trophy title earlier this season as coach, has been appointed as the coach of the Mumbai Indians for the second season of the Indian Premier League in South Africa. Former Test middle order batsman Amre has replaced ex-India opener Lalchand Rajput as Mumbai Indians coach and will be assisting the squad's chief mentor and bowling coach Shaun Pollock.
